Local Customs and Trade Affairs Specialist (m/w/d)

As Trade Affairs specialist, you will be involved in the daily customs operational activities. You will manage all requirements to clear goods at the border and ensure that documentation and data entries are consistent. You will collaborate intensively with internal and external partners to ensure prompt management of daily exceptions and requests. Furthermore, you will be the main contact with customs authorities and represent the customs interests of Givaudan Deutschland GmbH. You will report to the European Trade Affairs Operations Organization.

You will:

  • Manage daily local customs activities
  • Be the contact for local customs authorities – for daily operations
  • Manage administration and maintenance of import and export records in our systems
  • Ensure compliance to international trade regulations and local customs accreditations
  • Ensure continuity including local backup solution
  • Coordinate import and export declarations with customs agents and forwarders
  • Control of import and export documents and tasks
  • Management of tasks refund, tasks drawbacks
  • Ensure compliance of inbound and outbound excise tax process

You have:

  • Commercial education
  • At least 2 years of experience in an equivalent position
  • Recognized experience in the import/export area
  • Business-fluent in German and English
  • Solid SAP knowledge
  • Passionate about technology and IT systems
